About Waseem
Waseem Chachar is a member of Hall Render’s Health IT & Privacy service line. With more than 15 years of Health Information Technology experience, Waseem assists clients in remaining compliant with HIPAA and HITECH, as well as other state and federal privacy authorities. He works with clients to navigate policy assessments, trainings, privacy notice development, privacy and security audits and risk assessments. Additionally, Waseem counsels clients on matters relating to electronic health records, health information exchanges, outsourcing, resource planning, patient information management systems and financial knowledge management and technology infrastructure systems.
Prior to joining Hall Render, Waseem held various technical roles at a health care system in Washington, D.C., which included performing reporting functions to support reporting in the CMS’s Electronic Health Record Incentive “Meaningful Use” program and other interoperability projects. He has also served as a Business Intelligence Consultant, where he prepared Return on Investment models for practice acquisition and equipment procurement. Additionally, Waseem has experience monitoring hospitals’ denials and appeals volume as well as analyzing their billing practices for waste and abuse.
Waseem is an avid reader, enjoys cooking South Asian food and spending time with his family.
