Lawrence K. Coon was named the Best Lawyers Milwaukee Health Care “Lawyer of the Year” in 2021. Coon serves as Managing Partner of the firm’s Milwaukee office and counsels health care providers in corporate, business and strategic relationships, including affiliations, joint ventures, contractual arrangements, acquisitions and other growth strategies. He also provides guidance and assistance regarding payor/provider contracting, provider network development and operations, and other relationships between health care providers and the purchasers of health care services.
David H. Snow - Lawyer of the Year
David H. Snow was named the Best Lawyers Milwaukee Health Care “Lawyer of the Year” in 2020. Snow’s practice focuses on corporate and regulatory work for health care clients including hospitals, health care systems and physician organizations. This work encompasses: corporate structure and reorganizations; joint ventures; tax planning; obtaining and maintaining tax exemption; health care licensing and certification; government reimbursement, billing and payment matters; and corporate compliance.
R. Terry Heath - Lawyer of the Year
R. Terry Heath was named the Best Lawyers Indianapolis Health Care “Lawyer of the Year” in 2015 and 2018. Heath, who leads the firm’s business/tax practice, provides advice and counsel regarding business, tax, regulatory and governance issues to some of the nation’s largest health systems and many general and specialty hospitals, individual medical practices and health care joint ventures between hospitals and physicians.
Gregg Wallander - Lawyer of the Year
Gregg M. Wallander was named the Best Lawyers 2014 Indianapolis Health Care “Lawyer of the Year.” Wallander, who leads the firm’s health law practice, counsels clients in numerous aspects of health care law, including hospital and health system initiatives, physician alignment, joint venture and other affiliation arrangements, governance, Fraud and Abuse/Stark analysis, physician/hospital and other provider contracts, corporate compliance, physician recruitment, medical staff and peer review, tax-exemption and Medicare reimbursement.
John Render - Lawyer of the Year
John C. Render was named the Best Lawyers 2011 Indianapolis Health Care “Lawyer of the Year.” Render, who is a co-founder of the firm, counsels clients in numerous aspects of health care law. He serves as general counsel to the Indiana Hospital Association and served as an adjunct instructor at Indiana University. Render is the first recipient of the Indiana Hospital Association’s John C. Render Award for Health Policy, named after him, and a two-time recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash.
