Hall Render is pleased to announce that Andrew Coats has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a senior policy advisor.
Coats has spent nearly two decades in Washington focusing on health care policy. Prior to joining Hall Render full time in 2017, he served as Of Counsel to the firm. During that time, he helped direct an effort by a nationwide coalition of health systems to make comprehensive reforms to the Stark Law. He was also instrumental in advancing rural health measures in both the House and Senate and has represented various health systems on Medicare reimbursement issues before Congress and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
“Andrew’s knowledge and experience will enhance Hall Render’s ability to formulate and articulate sound policies and to identify future trends impacting our clients across the country,” said Hall Render Washington, D.C. Office Managing Partner John F. Williams III. “We are pleased to have him on board.”
Coats earned his undergraduate degree from James Madison University in 2000 and his law degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2009.
