Hall Render Announces New Shareholders

Hall Render has recently announced that Christie Davis, Ben Fee, Charlotte Fillenwarth, Mary Kate Liffrig, Lisa Lucido and Wesley Sylla have been named Shareholders.

Christie Davis (Dallas office) focuses her practice on various operational and regulatory matters for health care clients, from hospital systems to physician practices. In particular, she has extensive experience in the drafting, review and negotiation of clinical trial agreements on behalf of research institutions for clinical research. Christie graduated from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2012.

Ben Fee (Denver office) practices exclusively in the area of health law advising health systems and hospitals on a variety of reimbursement, regulatory, compliance and corporate transactional matters. He regularly advises clients on reimbursement and financial strategies; government reimbursement and payment matters; corporate structure and reorganization; the 340B drug discount program; and corporate compliance issues. He also frequently advises on fraud and abuse issues, including compliance with the federal Stark Law and federal and state anti-kickback statutes. Ben earned both his law degree and Master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of Iowa in 2009.

Charlotte Fillenwarth (Indianapolis office) focuses her legal practice in the area of business immigration by assisting clients in the preparation of J-1 Waivers, National Interest Waivers, H-1B Petitions, O-1 Petitions, P-1 Petitions, Trade NAFTA Work Authorization and Permanent Residency Applications. She also provides counseling on various immigration issues including I-9 and E-verify Compliance. Charlotte graduated from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2014.

Mary Kate Liffrig (Denver office) focuses her practice in the area of labor and employment law, with an emphasis on counseling employers on a wide variety of employment law issues, such as hiring and disciplinary matters, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, wage and hour issues, handbook and policy review/creation and employment contract drafting and negotiations. Mary Kate graduated from the Vanderbilt University Law School in 2011.

Lisa Lucido (Detroit office) concentrates her practice in the areas of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, managed care, as well as regulatory and compliance work. She provides counsel to wide variety of health care entities in developing strategies and policies to ensure compliance with the Medicare and Medicaid programs, including provider-based issues, evaluation of payment, disclosure and compliance matters. Lisa is recognized as a leader in her field by Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” for her work in Health Care Law. She is also listed in Michigan Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” for Health Care Law. Lisa graduated from the Wayne State University Law School in 2013.

Wesley Sylla (Milwaukee office) practices in the area of health care law with a focus on hospital-physician arrangements and transactions, fraud and abuse issues and corporate transactions. Wesley graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2014.
