Hall Render is pleased to announce Shareholder Margaret Marchak, J.D., M.B.A., has returned to join the firm’s Troy office. Marchak practices in Hall Render’s Health practice group where she primarily represents health care providers with technology procurement and agreements; hospital-physician transactions; HIPAA, privacy and security issues; governance in nonprofit/tax-exempt organizations; and corporate compliance programs. She has a particular interest in health information technology law, including electronic medical records, software licensing, technology agreements, outsourcing, privacy and security issues and HIPAA compliance.
Marchak received both her B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and earned her law degree from Wayne State University School of Law. She has been an adjunct professor at Northwood University, Oakland University and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
Marchak is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan. She is a Fellow of the Health Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and a member of the American Health Law Association, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and National Association of College and University Attorneys.
