Hall Render is pleased to announce associate attorney Julie K. Lappas, J.D., has joined the firm’s Indianapolis office.
Lappas practices in Hall Render’s Health practice group where she focuses on a variety of regulatory, compliance and corporate transactional matters. She counsels clients on compliance with the federal Stark Law, federal and state anti-kickback statutes, HIPAA privacy and security matters, state pharmacy laws, licensure and accreditation matters and corporate compliance issues.
Lappas completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University and earned her law degree at The George Washington University Law School. Before attending law school, she worked as a sales representative for Eli Lilly and Company. Prior to joining Hall Render, she practiced health law in the Washington, D.C. area as legal counsel to a pharmacy benefit management company and most recently in private practice.
Lappas has been admitted to the Indiana Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. She is a member of the American Health Law Association and American Bar Association.
