About Jennifer

Jennifer Shoup devotes her practice to real estate, project development and finance matters, including health care finance, development of public facilities and public-private partnerships.

Jennifer supports the firm’s health care clients in the development and financing of inpatient and ancillary facilities. Her work includes serving as part of the Hall Render Health Care and Public Finance team, where she assists firm clients in all manner of financings, including publicly offered bond issues, private placements and commercial bank financing. Her real estate practice includes securing construction and permanent financing, as well as the leasing, purchase and sale of property and completed projects. Beyond such traditional roles, Jennifer's real estate and finance background provide her with insight into unique and creative financing and project development models, including credit-tenant-lease financing and certificates of participation.

As part of Hall Render’s cross-functional Public-Private Partnership practice, Jennifer coordinates private development, public participation and private investment and financing to implement development and redevelopment projects. She has represented developers, cities and other public agencies in a variety of mixed-use projects. Jennifer also is familiar with various economic development incentives and the important role they often play in project development and implementation.

Jennifer has been listed in the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Forty Under 40, recognizing demonstrated leadership, initiative and dedication, and named an Indianapolis Bar Foundation Distinguished Fellow. Jennifer lives in Indianapolis with her husband and son. In her free time, she is an avid dancer, traveling to New York City to participate in open dance classes and performing in local stage productions.
