OFCCP has posted new sample AAPs for protected veterans and individuals with disabilities in follow up to the substantially revised VEVRAA and Section 503 regulations that went into effect last year. The samples show how covered federal contractors might satisfy their new regulatory requirements in their initial (aka “transition”) AAP year. According to the OFCCP, the AAPs are for “illustrative and technical assistance purposes only” and “do not represent the only appropriate or acceptable AAP format.”
The sample AAPs are posted on a new web page available here. Although not new, a sample Executive Order 11246 AAP is also provided. More sample AAPs will be posted soon to show how contractors might develop VEVRAA and Section 503 AAPs after three years of applicant and hiring data have been compiled.
