About Melissa

Melissa Markey, CISSP, co-leads the Hall Render Life Sciences team and focuses her practice on FDA regulatory compliance, research misconduct, human subject research and technology law, including data privacy and security, medical device security, mobile medical applications and consumer-facing health care, electronic health records and data rights management, as well as emergency legal preparedness, patient care issues, the clinician-technology interface and compliance. She is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional ("CISSP") and is a member of the Hall Render data breach response team. She is an author and national speaker on topics in cybersecurity and privacy, mobile medical devices, FDA law, research misconduct and privacy and security issues in research, emerging diseases and emergency preparedness and response law. Melissa served two terms as a Board member for the American Health Law Association, is a Fellow of AHLA and is licensed in Michigan, Texas, Colorado and Utah. Melissa is also a licensed health care provider.
