Hall Render attorneys have extensive experience assisting health systems, hospitals, physician groups and long-term care facilities to meet their quality improvement and patient safety goals and obligations. We regularly counsel clients regarding patient safety regulatory compliance and support the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that patient safety and quality improvement are a top priority. Increasingly, reimbursement for services is being linked to safety and quality, and our attorneys are up to date on developments in pay for performance and value-based purchasing payment models as they relate to quality and patient safety.
We also help clients maintain or elevate their patient safety practices in a manner consistent with Medicare and accreditation requirements, and we provide assistance in managing the risks clients face when safety concerns come to their attention. Hall Render attorneys are able to provide guidance in the development and execution of appropriate peer review processes to address those providers who may negatively impact quality of care and assist with the implementation of quality measures to maximize reimbursement. Our attorneys have a solid understanding of the formation and operation of federally listed patient safety organizations (PSOs).
