We are committed to collaborating with and encouraging the efforts of other community, legal and health care associations that promote inclusion and diversity.

“Beyond supporting diversity within our firm, we pride ourselves in working with organizations that are also similarly committed to diversity. We believe that diversity in experience, background and perspective strengthens our company and, even more so, the health care industry in which we serve.”

RECRUITMENT AND PARTNERSHIPS

We are committed to recruiting diverse attorneys as well as developing a pipeline of diverse attorneys interested in practicing health law. We support local and national organizations that promote diversity in the legal community.

  • Law School Affinity Outreach Program

Hall Render has created a law school outreach program in which our attorneys partner with affinity groups at various law schools across the country to host one-hour meet and greets for law students, including networking time and a meal. During the meet and greet, our attorneys discuss with students what it means to practice health law as well as diversity in health care. Attorneys share their professional and personal experiences related to diversity and working in a law firm.

Hall Render participates in the Wisconsin Diversity Clerkship Program, a 10-week paid summer employment opportunity for first-year Marquette University Law School and University of Wisconsin Law School students with diverse backgrounds. Selected students are matched with an array of employers, from private law firms to corporate legal departments and governmental agencies. Participating students gain practical legal experience and the participating employers obtain valuable legal support.

  • Colorado Pledge to Diversity

Hall Render participates in the Colorado Pledge to Diversity (CPTD) which focuses on building a pipeline of diverse, entry-level candidates to Colorado law firms and other organizations’ legal departments. The CPTD’s 1L Pledge Program also connects participating employers with diverse law students in the students’ first summer. Additionally, the program exposes diverse students to real legal work and business culture, helping them to develop professional skills, confidence and resume credentials while establishing professional contacts.
