Hall Render has extensive experience with both federal and state antitrust laws, especially as those laws apply to the health care industry. Our attorneys routinely counsel clients concerning the antitrust compliance issues that arise in the context of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; joint ventures; vertical integration; network and PHO contracting strategies; clinical integration and ACOs; medical staff issues; and wage/salary/benefit surveys and pricing activities. Hall Render served as antitrust counsel in 1993 for one of the first joint operating agreements executed by competing hospitals, including shepherding the project through DOJ review. Hall Render has filed many HSR Premerger Notification Reports and obtained several formal and informal FTC Advisory Opinions. The firm has helped health care clients develop compliance plans with specific reference to compliance with state and federal antitrust laws and has defended clients involved in federal and state antitrust investigations or private litigation. Hall Render does management training and governing board education to ensure our clients are well-informed concerning the antitrust implications of proposed arrangements.
